Cadence Toss! by EarthenPony Cadence Toss! by EarthenPony
This came out a lot better than I thought it would, to be perfectly honest (Although I did have to make two Shining Armors because the first one was too small)!

This one is just about eight inches tall; too big for it's original intended purpose, therefore it is for sale!

*edit* This sculpture has been sold! Thank you all for your interest!

If nobody wants it for that price, I'll probably stick it up on ebay in a couple days (Although I have not had to put anything on ebay in like a year, so if you really want it, better grab it now!)

Your sculptures are so beautiful! What do you use to protect them what kind of sealant?

I don't always, but when I do I just use spray on matte acrylic sealer.

The wife thrower is a very specialized weapon that tends to jam when not used in an appropriate situation.
It also has an insane reload time.

A gorgeous sculpt!

Whenever I see this scene, I cannot help but think of the end of Incredibles when Bob throws Helen in the air to catch their baby.

That's hilarious even though it's also so very serious. They're both beautiful, wonderful crafting and painting. I love Cadence's war face as she prepares to be flung into battle. Her pose is also very striking. Shining Armor is terrific as he heaves her mightily, though I hope he remembers to point his head down when he launches her so that she doesn't clip his horn. (I imagine him bolting forward and down the instant she's out of his hooves.)

The only thing that would be more dangerous is saying, "Honey, did you put on weight?"

There needs to be a toy where Shining Armor has spring-loaded arms and he can actually toss Cadence.

In other news: this is awesome!!  Great work.

I'll say it now, your sculptures are amazing. I can never make the paint-borders clean enough under things... DX
Question, do you use colored clay at all, or just white? If I were to guess, I would say that you use one color (the body color) for the entire thing and paint in the hair color along with the details. Am I right?

:iconearthenpony:
EarthenPony Featured By Owner Jun 10, 2013  Hobbyist Artisan Crafter
Well, not white, but biege. I use Super Sculpey and then paint the entire thing using acrylics.
